NHL to PGA Tour - Quinn Toting For Els for 2010

He spent what probably seemed like a lifetime on the ice, but now Ottawa native and former NHL player Dan Quinn is enjoying his days in much sunny climates. And most recently, doing a job where there is little chance of getting your teeth knocked out on a daily basis.

Quinn, who spent parts of fourteen seasons in the NHL, was at at the Sony Open in Hawaii yesterday as the part-time PGA Tour caddie for 3-time major champion Ernie Els . Quinn, now 44 but still in game shape, will share the duties this year with Els’ long-time bag toter, Ricci Roberts. Quinn filled in for Roberts last fall when Els played in Asia for a few weeks.

It’s not Quinn’s first pro caddie gig, he also partnered up with John Daly for the 2000 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.
